The Scar Boys

The Scar Boys is one of the best YA manuscripts I have read in a very long while. Len has written such a brilliant book about a boy who is scarred through and through. Harbinger Robert Frances Jones, “Harry”, hit by lightning as an eight year old, learns to use his scars as the gateway through pain, suffering and ridicule. This story has such heart and real poignancy that you will cheer for Harry when he finds true friendship and a passion for music. Harry’s voice is so clear and deeply personal-that you can’t help but root for him and his band.
