Melton’s blog, momastery.com, is one I came across when her post “Don’t Carpe Diem” went viral a while back. She’s an honest writer with a past that gives every moment a unique perspective. Add a spouse and a few kids to that mix, and you get what she calls a “brutiful” (brutal and beautiful) collection of essays, thoughts, and stories. She will make you laugh and go looking for the nearest person to read a passage out loud to, then bring you to tears as she gets to the heart of some of parenting’s most difficult moments. I loved reading this and immediately wanted to share it with every parent I know.
